Our School Holiday Summer of Fun will officially kick off at 1pm on January 1, 2022 as we reopen the doors to Mildura Waves once again!
On Christmas Eve, a number of our team were notified that they were close contacts and in line with Government Guidelines, entered isolation throughout the festive season while they awaited negative test results. This significantly reduced our staff availability and created the need for us to temporarily close Mildura Waves. After the Federal Cabinet meeting on Thursday 30 December and updates made to the Pandemic Quarantine Isolation and Testing Order; many of our staff have had their close contact classification adjusted and are no longer required to remain in self isolation.
This positive and significant change has meant our team availability has increased, and we are excited to welcome everyone back this Saturday to enjoy the centre once more, with adjusted operating hours this weekend.
- Saturday January 1, 2022: 1pm to 8pm
- Sunday January 2, 2022: 1pm to 8pm
Our standard opening hours will be resuming on Monday January 3, 2022
- Monday to Thursday: 6am to 9pm
- Friday: 6am to 7pm
- Saturday and Sunday: 8am to 8pm
Waves sessions will also be returning between 1pm – 5pm, with our Calendar of Fun launching on 1 January, bringing with it a range of fun activities for you and your family to enjoy. The full calendar can be viewed HERE.
Further information has been shared via email with our members today regarding account adjustments to support them with our temporary closure and we encourage anyone who has not received this information to contact us.
While our temporary closure was less than ideal, our comprehensive COVID Safe Plan enabled us to act quickly to protect our team, customers and community, and has supported our quick return.
We understand there are many people in our community who spent the festive season in isolation, including many of our team, and our thoughts go out to everyone who continues to be impacted by this situation.
