Pools at Mildura Waves to reopen from 1 June 2020

Great news! Our pools at Mildura Waves have been given the green light to reopen.

Following the Victorian Government’s announcement to ease restrictions, we are excited to share that in partnership with Mildura Rural City Council we will be reopening our doors for lap swimming and water-based rehabilitation from 6.00am on Monday 1 June 2020.

Your health and safety remains our number one priority, with a number of temporary changes made to support your safe return. These include:

  • Introducing 60-minute pre-booked sessions
  • A capacity limit of 20 swimmers per session and 3 per lane
  • Launching a new online booking system available HERE

Sessions will be available to book from this Saturday (30 May 2020), with access to sessions available 48 hours prior to the scheduled commencement time for current members, and 24 hours prior for other customers.

During this initial reopening period, all memberships will continue to remain on suspension, and we will be keeping our change rooms, spa, sauna and gym closed, with access to toilets remaining available. Our group fitness classes, including aqua, and swim lesson program will also not be returning at this stage.

For our water-based rehabilitation users, please contact your external service provider for more information on the return of their programs and services.

We have listened to you through our recent customer survey where you told us what was important in making you feel safe upon your return to Mildura Waves. Below is a summary of just some of the measures we have put in place, with further details available HERE:

  • Mandatory COVID-19 safety training for all staff
  • Staff regularly disinfecting the facility throughout the day
  • Nightly deep cleaning and disinfection
  • The installation of hygiene and disinfection stations
  • The introduction of contactless transactions
  • Signage for social distancing and hygiene practices, including floor markings

While you will notice many changes upon your next visit, our commitment to delivering a quality experience to our customers has not. In line with this commitment, we’ve also updated our COVID-19 Response webpage to include more detailed information on our reopening plans, as well as launching a number of handy checklists for you to use when preparing for your visit.
